HKU has one winning team (FINomenal) won a seed funding of HK$100,000 to prototype their business idea within 6 months and a fast-track interview opportunity to the signature Cyberport Incubation Programme in the CUPP 2018 Demo Day which was held on 23 October 2018.

The highlights of the project of the HKU team “FINomenal” are as follows:

CreDiscount Go (CDG) is an all-you-need social platform for discount lovers that is made up of three major elements C,D,and G (Community, Discover, and Game). First of all, it is a “Community” for consumers to collaborate and interact with each other. Next, users can “Discover” the place around them through the map on our platform with an AI-powered Discount Radar that helps users spot out the merchant discounts that are mostly concerned by them. Last but most excitingly, the "Game" on our app allows users to catch the Augmented Reality (AR) coupons scattered over the physical world."
