With the launch of the Technology Start-up Support Scheme for Universities at HKU (TSSSU@HKU) in 2014/15, there is a growing trend of new technology start-up companies formed by HKU researchers to commercialize their research outcomes. These start-ups have the potential to create impact on society when their new products based on HKU technologies are successfully launched to the market in the coming years.
