Winners at the Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2017 Demo Day

Back to NewsWe are pleased to announce that in the FinTech-focused Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2017 demo day held on 14 November 2017, The University of Hong Kong had three winning teams (out of 12 winning teams) each won a seed funding of HK$100,000 and a fast-track interview opportunity to the signature Cyberport Incubation Programme.
With the intensive training and mentorship, and 1-week boot camp at the Standard Graduate School of Business, 21 teams from six local universities pitched at the CUPP 2017 Demo Day. HKU had 5 teams admitted to the Demo Day and 3 of them won the prizes. The winning teams are as follows:
1. ALGO BORO
Project name: Theatre Entertainment
Project Highlights: It is Asia’s first crowdfunding platform for local performing artists. It allows artists to manage their performing status and financial conditions through our specially-designed management tools.
2. Finsights
Project name: Finsights
Project Highlights: It helps users to conduct real-time and in-depth analysis on the market sentiment of a company.
3. Pioneer Prop
Project name: AIR2
Project Highlights: It provides solution to for companies that are using artificial intelligence and refrain them from the risks caused by the bias decision made by A.I system.
